Liquid Herbal Extracts (Hydroethanolic and Glycetract)

Phytomed liquid herbal extracts are manufactured according to the guidelines set down in the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia (BHP) and the British Pharmacopoeia (BP), using a combination of ethanol and water (a method used for hundreds of years to prepare liquid herbal preparations) to extract the widest range of active constituents from the plant material. The ratio of ethanol to water varies from plant to plant, depending on the active constituents.
