Client: 41-year-old female

Initial presentation: Client presented with chronic stress, and a past history of depression. High prolactin levels and excessive cortisol levels with daily anxiety and feelings of overwhelm plus sleeplessness. Suspected adrenal fatigue from long-term stress and existing hormonal issues. Busy lifestyle with own business, family and relationship stress, alongside long-term stress issues. Digestive issues present around stress and appetite at time being adversely affected.

Herbal formula

Withania 1:2  30mL
Magnolia 1:2  20mL
Lavender 1:2  15mL
Passionflower 1:2  20mL
Motherwort 1:2  15mL

Dosage: 5mL 2 - 3 x daily (and again at night to assist relaxation if required).

Additional recommendations:

B vitamins and Vitamin C supplement to help with adrenal nutrients.

High purity fish oils (to help low mood and hormonal support as an anti-inflammatory, alternating with Turmeric/Curcumin supplement) and Kawakawa and Ginger tea included or tincture drops to help digestion as needed too when stressed and feeling bloated and appetite is low.

Follow up:

First follow up in two weeks, feeling slightly better, less anxious on a daily basis but sleeplessness still an issue.

Second follow up in 3 weeks after the first follow up, starting to sleep better, improvement in getting to sleep and sleeping deeper during the night and some improvement noted in mood and feelings of anxiety alongside stress. Including Rehmania within tincture as need too replacing the lavender, helping with adrenal and exhaustion recovery. And increasing dosage on Withania over time once sleeping better, while decreasing Passionflower amount.
