Case study: Woman 43 years,

Low energy, extremely heavy periods. Gets migraines from hormonal therapies, so doctor has prescribed Tranexamic Acid, an antifibrinolytic medication used in bleeding disorders to prevent haemorrhage. This medication is taken acutely at the onset of pre-menstrual spotting, for the duration of the period.
Herbal formula:
Yarrow 30%
Lady’s Mantle 30%
Rehmannia 30%
Ginger 5%
Liquorice 5%
Mitte 200ml, 8mlBD
Herbal formula:
Tienchi Ginseng 100ml
5-10ml 1-4 times daily, up to 50ml per day for up to 2 days at onset of period.
Follow up:
2 weeks later: Period was a lot easier to manage, with less blood lost, patient feels more energised and happier in herself. Still took Tranaxemic Acid but needed less. Repeat formulas.
5 weeks later: Has felt much more joyful on herbal tonic, more energy and vitality. Second period since commencing treatment used no Tranaxemic Acid, only Tienchi Ginseng. Patient reports that the blood is thicker, less watery, and the flow is much less. She also noticed a bleeding nose that would usually bleed for an hour clotted properly.
